Salem voters were gracious in approving 3 different bonds/levies in 2008 for the Salem-Keizer School District, Chemeketa Community College, and the City of Salem’s streets and bridge needs. Join other active members on Thursday morning, September 2 from 7-8:30am at the Salem Chamber for updates on how these millions of dollars are being spent in our local economy. View agenda

The State Fair is a $4.2 million business that creates 1,500 temporary jobs responsible for various aspects of the Fair . Last year, more than 350,000 people attended the State Fair. According to our 2009 survey, more than 60% of visitors traveled from at least 30 minutes away. Take a step back and think about this: We have thousands of people visiting Salem and attending Oregon’s largest event. Continue
