Strengthening the Economy The State Fair is a $4.2 million business that creates 1,500 temporary jobs responsible for various aspects of the Fair . Last year, more than 350,000 people attended the State Fair. According to our 2009 survey, more than 60% of visitors traveled from at least 30 minutes away.
