Salemchamber.org, the official web site of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, continued its record of growth into 2007. The rapidly increasing traffic of this easy-to-navigate web site has contributed to its top ranking on national search engines.

The Chamber's web site has become more than just information, according to Kyle Sexton, Director of Member Services. "Our web site has a great new online registration program now," stated Sexton, "and the Governmental Affairs pages have grown to make it the single largest section of the site."

New advertising opportunities on the site offer affordable options for small businesses, which represent 85% of the Salem Chamber's membership. Sponsorship amounts now start as low as $1000 per year. The site was initially funded by founding sponsors West Coast Bank, State Farm Insurance, Portland General Electric and Capital Valuation Group. Salemchamber.org attracted nearly 250,000 visitors in 2006, a 21% increase from the previous year.  Current traffic trends indicate the site will reach 300,000 by the end of 2007, a 20% increase.
