Subject: Gift Certificates Bring Customers to You!

Last June, 2004, I sent you information about our Gift Certificate Program, which is operated through our partner, CertifiChecks. I’m pleased to report to you, as a participating vendor, there is now $24,000 in gift certificates circulating from the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce. This is a FREE service to you for as long as you remain a member of the Salem Chamber. We will continue to market and sell Chamber Gift Certificates good at all member retailers, restaurants, hotels, and more to drive new business to you!

Because of the incredible volume of sales that have been realized, I felt that it might be helpful to refresh your memory about the gift certificates. Enclosed is a photocopied sample, similar to the authentic sample you received last summer. The actual gift certificate is “business blue” in color, with many security features. (A color sample can be viewed on www.salemchamber.org. Click on Members Only, then Gift Certificate Program.)

Here is how simply it works:

• These gift certificates Act Just Like a Check! (No logging, no tracking, no mailing in for redemption)

• When you receive, simply deposit in the bank for the full-face amount.

• No service fee or discount will be charged.

If you’re wondering whether or not you can accept these in your business, YOU CAN! The routing number on the bottom of the check allows you to deposit this along with your other cash receipts, and your bank will fund it just like a cashier’s check. Even if your payment policies prohibit personal checks, you can be confident that Chamber Gift Certificates are as good as cash.

ALL chamber merchant members are automatically enrolled, and again, there is no cost for your participation! If for some reason you do not wish to participate in the program or have any questions please call me at 503-581-1466 x305. (If you opt-out now, you can opt back in at any time in the future.) You have everything to gain and nothing to lose. There is no downside. It is our pleasure to bring new, value added benefits to our members. I thank you for your continued support!
