Through the Buy in Salem initiative, chamber gift certificates, trade shows, and networking events, the Salem Chamber is making our local economy stronger every day.  At the heart of a strong community is a strong economy.  Without it, our quality of life declines, and so do our schools, our roads, parks and property resale values. 

A growing economy brings more jobs, which bring more consumers.  One new job in Salem is equal to at least one new consumer.  How many new customers do you need to create a new job?  Answer this question, then follow the dollars.  It doesn't take long to realize the importance of supporting our local businesses first.
