52nd Annual Salem First Citizen Awards Banquet

 

Ted Stang was honored as Salem's 2001 First Citizen at the sold out banquet held Friday, January 18th at the Red Lion Hotel.  Ted is recently retired from a 33-year career with the Salem Hospital Foundation where he was the Executive Director.  Ted's contributions to Salem - both professionally and privately - greatly enhances the community livability and vitality.   

 

 

Distinguished Service Award Recipients

 

 

Harley Roth’s volunteerism surrounds youth and education as a mentor and education reform advocate. He is a great example of a strong business manager who gets involved in community affairs.

 

Chris Nielsen has been involved with Family Building Blocks, the Riverfront Carousel, Oregon Garden, Catholic Community Services and much more!

 

David Crockatt has been seen driving guests to and from the Assistance League of Salem’s Cook’s Tour; loading poinsettias for the Salem Hospital Auxiliary, helping with the Salem Library book sale, and coordinating the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
