Steve Norris, South Salem High School

Steve is a Social Studies teacher and Coach at South Salem High School whose flexibility, humor and willingness to help have benefited South students for seventeen years and continues to serve as the standard for others to follow. He has created and modifies curriculum such as his Coaching Principles class and the History in Cinema class to meet the changing needs of his students. His recognition and adaptability truly benefit his students.

Steve is a great example of what it means to be a teacher. he provides his students with learning tool that can be applied to real like and he has the unique ability to connect with all students. He is passionate about inspiring students to take pride in themselves and each other. More importantly, he is an example of how to teach with a purpose. His objective has always been to teach with passion and give like-long impressions for what it takes to succeed in today's world. Every student who has the opportunity to know Steve walks away with the skills they need to be successful.
